Trust & safety

Security & privacy at ChoreCircle

This page is maintained by the ChoreCircle team to answer common security and privacy questions about the service. It describes the controls currently in place and is not a certification or independent audit.

Accounts & authentication

Sign-in is handled by our managed authentication provider. Passwords are never stored in plain text, and you can sign in with Google. Each request is checked server-side before any of your data is returned.

Access controls

Every table is protected by row-level security so you can only read and change your own data. Sensitive operations are validated on the server — the app never trusts the browser alone for permissions.

Your location stays private

Your exact street address and postal code are only shared with a helper after you select them for a chore. While people browse, only an approximate area is shown — never your precise address.

Data we store

We store the information you provide to run ChoreCircle: your profile, chores you post or apply to, messages between matched participants, and listings. ChoreCircle never holds or moves your payment money.

Hosting & infrastructure

ChoreCircle runs on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. Administrative and internal database functions are not callable through the public API.

Retention & deletion

You can edit or delete your chores, listings, and contacts at any time. You can also delete your account yourself from your account settings — it enters a 7-day grace period (during which you can cancel) before your data is permanently removed.
