Questions, answered

Why don't other apps handle small chores?
For most platforms, small tasks simply aren't profitable: payment processors charge fees for every transaction, and maintaining the integrations is expensive. That's why many apps refuse to support tiny chores at all — the economics don't work for them.
Why doesn't ChoreCircle handle payments?
We chose this approach because it reflects exactly what ChoreCircle is about: the small, everyday tasks that don't justify hiring an expensive freelancer or specialist. Keeping payments outside the app lowers the barrier for everyone and makes it easier to get quick help when you need it.
Do you track or report what I earn?
No. ChoreCircle never records how much actually changes hands — there's no running total of your earnings and no number we could report to anyone, because we never collect it. We keep it that way to protect the people who lean on this app the most, like a teenager earning their first pocket money. What changes hands stays between you and the other person; anything the law genuinely asks of you stays yours to handle.
How do you make money then?
Light, unobtrusive banner ads — mostly inside the mobile app. Just enough to cover map APIs and hosting.
Is there an iOS app?
The native app is on Android first. iOS users can use this website in the meantime to sign up, browse nearby chores, and get notified when the iOS app is ready.
What kind of chores belong here?
Light, neighborly stuff that doesn't need a licensed pro — mowing, errands, moving help, dog walks, light assembly. Use a real professional for plumbing, electrics, etc.
