How it works

Four small steps from “I need a hand” to “Thanks, neighbor.”

ChoreCircle is intentionally simple. No bidding wars, no escrow, no algorithmic anything. Just a quick way to find someone close by who can help.

  1. 1. Post a chore

Drop a pin on the map, choose a category (garden & outdoors, errands, moving, home…), add a sentence and an optional photo. Done in under a minute.

  2. 2. Get offers from nearby

People within walking and short driving distance see your chore and message you with a rate and time that works for them.

  3. 3. Pick a neighbor

Browse profiles and ratings. Accept the offer that feels right — they'll get a notification and head over.

  4. 4. Settle directly

Pay your helper however you both prefer. ChoreCircle is never in the middle of your money.

What about safety?

Every account is verified by email or Google. Both posters and helpers get rated after each chore — repeat behavior matters more than a single review. Use chores for light, neighborly tasks; for plumbing, electrics or anything risky, please hire a licensed pro.

ChoreCircle works best for simple, low-risk tasks like moving boxes, picking up groceries, or helping with yard work. When you're connecting with someone new, starting with garden & outdoors or shared-space chores is an easy way to build trust. Many people also feel comfortable doing indoor tasks together — a natural way to keep things supervised while getting to know each other. Always choose the tasks and settings that feel right for you.

TrustLink — extra safety when a young helper comes indoors

When a minor is the helper, indoor chores require an active TrustLink between them and the adult poster. Before one can be created, the two must have completed at least one outdoor task together — so there is always a shared track record before anyone enters a home.

By creating a TrustLink the adult confirms they will be present and responsible throughout every indoor task. Either side can remove the link at any time. Adult-to-adult chores have no such requirement.
