Not quite 15 yet?
ChoreCircle currently opens accounts at 15. Here's why — and how to be first in line once that changes.
Why the wait
We'd genuinely love to let younger teens connect with neighbours and find work too. But Finnish law (the Act on Young Workers, 998/1993) only permits light work for 13–14-year-olds with a guardian's consent — and ChoreCircle doesn't yet have a way to capture and verify that consent. Rather than open the door without it, we're keeping the floor at 15 for now.
What has to happen first
Two things: enough real demand from younger teens to justify building it properly, and a proper legal review of a guardian-consent flow. We're a very small operation, so both take time — but it's on our radar, not forgotten.
